Title: See How Deep the Bullet Lies
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: Don't own them; just borrowing.
Summary: Brennan, sometime after the events of The Wannabe In the Weeds. He'd taught you to do this and you wish you'd listened harder.
Spoilers: The Titan on the Tracks, The Wannabe In the Weeds
Notes: My first Bones fic. Ficlet, really. Couldn't get this out of my head after the most recent episode. Title is from Kate Bush's “Running Up That Hill.”

I've watched it twice now and I think I can comment some ... I think, we'll see.
This to me was one of the most well written of the Moonlight stories and if we had this story or something written to this quality in the beginning we wouldn't be in this quandary right now. Unfortunately, the ratings for this episode were still below the 8 million mark. But I also hear that CBS was having some trouble with its upfronts and getting advertisers because of the Moonlight drop and because their fall lineup looks like so much monkey dung for the new stuff.
Overall and I know I've said this before but now we have the entire season to compare... this was the best of all of them. A+.

(My DSL was out again last night, so I'm posting this now....wrote it last night.)
My two favorite shows were both awesome this week, yay! You know, oddly, I think when it comes down to it I enjoy Lost more than BSG, yet I am fannish about BSG and not about Lost. It's weird. Best I can figure is it's due to the fact that 90% of the time (the other 10% being Kate/Sawyer scenes, heh), Lost gives me exactly what I want, so I don't feel the need to expand upon it in fic. If only I could say the same for BSG. *g* Anyway. That just struck me today for some reason. Anyone else have shows they love that they have no desire to be fannish about, even if they are for other shows? I'm curious.
Moving on...
( BSG )
( Lost )
I'm very sad neither show will be on next week.
Oh, and while I'm here: I thought SPN was pretty kickass, too. Their best season finale cliffhanger by far. Holy crap! Also, I may have sung along with Sam and Dean in the car. I am also sure I was not the only one who must have done so. *g*

OK, I admit, I'm drunk, but this is still pretty WTF:
Jump In My Car.
As usual, I'm probably the last person in the world who's seen this.
Had a great time at the end-of-year MFA party. If that isn't already obvious. *g*

Best. Line. Ever.
And it's mine. :)
No, actually it's Mick's but still. Still.
I'm using the sunshiney Mick icon because even with everything that's happened/happening I'm still thrilled beyond thrilled with this show.
Why does this series have to end with the best episode ever. EVER. I know I've said that before but this one out did the others. I'm going to watch again before I post anything coherent thought wise but I will say that I found myself compelled to applaud at the end.
Ok but I'm getting ahead of myself. I do want to watch it again but let me say this... I hope beyond hope that this show tonight drew in more than the 8 million it's been getting. I hope the execs at the CW and other networks were watching. I hope someone sees the value in this show because this episode ripped me apart, made me laugh, kept me on the edge of my seat, all of the above. Excellent stuff... and I think if this quality was there in the beginning of the series we'd be in a different boat right now.

Call now! There is only a half hour left to fill up the CBS voice mail again.
Keep calling everyone!
I just called this number again to add my daughter to the demographic, and the voice mail has been cleared and they are taking calls again.
818-655-1779 leave your name, age, city and state
Don't give up!
Vampire Solidarity! Rah, Rah, Rah!

THORN: NO, WAIT--
LAPTOP: hurr hurr
LAPTOP: ded laptop is ded.
THORN: :'(
Sorry for cutting out in the middle,
denzilalsene!
My, um, all my stuff is on this laptop. I mean the outlines, the manuscripts, the entire plot for A Hundred Days. Not to mention after a few computerless hours I start to look sad and bewildered and inevitably end up clinging to my roommate's laptop like a mad-eyed drifter. I'm buying a hard drive enclosure, which should help recover data for when I get a new laptop.
Really, though, this is midterm season. Not a good time.
Long story short: HIATUS. My mother's sailing in this afternoon to bring me a new laptop (I think?), so I don't know if I'll end up deleting this post later today. Ugh.
See you when I see you.

CBS is definitely taking calls from Moonlight fans. I just called and there is a recording that says they are taking demographic calls for Moonlight and to leave your name, city, state, and age. I also gave them my husband's age and my Mom's age and city, state. I hope they take those into account.
Here's the number so you can call. 818-655-1779 leave your name, age, city and state
They are only taking calls till 6PM Eastern so please call right away.
I'm not sure why they are gathering this information, but they are and so we should give it them.

...and this morning my DSL is up again, but my phone is still out. WTF? I really don't want to bring Verizon over as it looks like they'll charge me for it, but this is too weird. God knows I can live without my land line as long as my DSL is working..... *strokes the internet*
Now my DSL is out too. So I'm sick, my cat is sick, my cable was out & now phone/DSL are out. I think the universe is telling me to give up. Lost rocked though.
